2011: The Year of Dance Music

We can’t express how awesome 2011 has been for EDM better than the video above does. We also couldn’t be more excited to get 2012 started – with tons of new music, new nights and more dancing, we hope you’ll come along for the ride too. After the break are some excellent recaps of this year music-wise, so if you need some pre-NYE jams, check ‘em out below. We’re putting the finishing touches on our favorites so stay tuned for that to drop next week.

Sounds of Now and Beyond

An interesting part of EDM culture that’s exploded in the social media sphere is the concept of “previewing” songs. Artists will share snippets, often no longer than a minute or two, of their next single in advance of its release. I know for us, it just adds to the suspense and anticipation, especially when you get you hands (and ears) on bits and pieces of tracks like these below. Looks like our musical appetites will be satisfied quite nicely in December.
