When Hardwell teased the first edition of “Spaceman,” we could barely contain ourselves. Today, hours before EDC New York is set to begin at Met Life Stadium, the Dutch superstar drops the vocal edit of this massive tune featuring Mitch Crown. The new release, dubbed “Call Me a Spaceman,” preserves everything from the original and adds a certified club anthem lyrical component. This one will be on our decks for a while, and, who knows, maybe it’ll be in our May Hauscast… (coming soon!)
Check out the official music video below, and be sure to grab this track off Beatport or iTunes!

Happy Friday friends – we’re very excited about today’s interview. Thanks to our good friend Bamboora, we had a chance to catch up with rising DJ/producer ImanoS. The Vancouver based musician has played in a variety of places around the world, including a stop at Pacha in London after his track “Be Loved” with Fred Lilla was getting airplay online:
[It] was crazy to play in a packed club with loads of people really into the music you were playing, in a club where you know DJ’s you really admire had played before… when I got to play ["Be Loved"] in the club it went off!
Fred Lilla & ImanoS – Be Loved (Original Mix)
Recently, ImanoS’ incredible mashup of Hardwell‘s massive “Cobra” and the Michael Woods edit of NO_ID‘s “How R U Feeling” was featured on Tiesto‘s “Club Life” Podcast (#244). Check out the track here and the rest of the interview after the break plus more Imanos music including the latest in ImanoS’ podcast series: “Decked Out.” Stay tuned to this guy – 2012 holds some pretty big things!

HB: Let’s take it from the top – in the beginning…
IS: Well from the very beginning it started when I was young, seeing Daft Punk/Stardust music videos on television as a kid and really liking what I heard. As I got older in high school, I was listening to Pete Tong’s Essential Selection and the Essential Mix regularly. The first song that really got me was M.A.N.D.Y. & Booka Shade – Body Language and by the time I got to college I had John Dahlback’s ‘Blink’ as my ringtone. When I was in college, I was a full fledged fan really into the newest stuff by the Swedes, Dirty South, Laidback Luke, etc. I was definitely motivated by those guys and all the tracks they were putting out just a few years ago. We can’t express how awesome 2011 has been for EDM better than the video above does. We also couldn’t be more excited to get 2012 started – with tons of new music, new nights and more dancing, we hope you’ll come along for the ride too. After the break are some excellent recaps of this year music-wise, so if you need some pre-NYE jams, check ‘em out below. We’re putting the finishing touches on our favorites so stay tuned for that to drop next week.
Happy NYE from The Haus Boys!
We hope all of you have an awesome start to 2012, and we’ll see you on the other side. As always,
People are still making music videos, and in some cases, there really is no reason. But we think that some of the EDM videos that are coming out are pretty cool, mostly because they’re not trying to tell a story or convey some momentous message over the course of three or four minutes. They add a visual element to dance music that reminds us of why we love what we do. And the video of Hardwell’s “Cobra” does just that. Taking scenes from the past year of touring for the young DJ/producer and putting them to the tune of one of his biggest hits so far, this clip summarizes what any DJ would want: people having a blast to the tune of music they wrote. In short, don’t stop dancing peeps!
One of the biggest and most celebrated house music events around the world is finally coming to the United States: Sensation. Starting in the Netherlands in 2000, the show has traveled around Europe, into Russia and even South America. The when and where have not been released, and the official report from Sensation says further details will be released in March. Here’s the teaser video released a couple of days ago, and after the break, we’ve got photos, more videos and live sets from Sensation “Innerspace” in Copenhagen and Sensation Barcelona earlier this year. We will not miss this next year, and you shouldn’t either.

There’s just no end to the versions of this song, each one bigger than the last, and Hardwell is no exception. We’ve been big fans of Hardwell for a while – he exploded onto the scene this year with monstrous tracks like “Encoded,” and the incredible “Zero 76” with Tiesto. More recently, his latest banger, “Cobra” has been crushing dance floors the world over. Give the Dutch prodigy’s take on Avicii‘s tune a listen, and let us know what you think. Oh, and there’s a download link there too!
Whoa. We could end our review right there. Electric Zoo 2011 was an incredible weekend of beats, bass, love and friendship. Words can’t fully describe the experience of sharing time, space and music with 80,000 other people who are there for the same reason. If you’re a house-head, and you haven’t been to one, start planning now – it’s beyond worth it. Check out some pictures and video below plus a slew of live sets including Afrojack, Hardwell, Sander Van Doorn and more.
