Alan McNamara – The Kids Want House #006

Alan McNamara and the Haus Boys in the mix in Boston, MA

Happy Friday peeps – let’s get the day started off right with the latest in our friend Alan McNamara’s awesome podcast series, “The Kids Want House.” This sixth edition, like all the rest, features an excellent selection of tunes including a couple from Tiesto’s “Club Life Vol. 2″ compilation and an awesome edit from Alan himself, “Open Your Mozaik Heart.” We know one thing we agree with Alan on:

The kids want house…

… and he knows how to give it to them. Check out the mix below, and subscribe to get the podcast directly every month.

Alan McNamara @ Cure Lounge UPDATE

OK, Boston – tonight is a very special one for us. If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll recognize the name Alan McNamara. For over a year, Alan has been a good friend in the music world – we’ve shared music, experiences and a love of dance music.

But here’s the catch: Alan and I have never met in person.

One of the most incredible things about EDM is its ability to connect across great distances, and our relationship with Alan is proof of that. Well, tonight, not only are we meeting Alan, so can you. Cure Lounge and Space Entertainment are hosting Alan on his very first US tour, and we’ll playing an opening set as well. Make sure you hit Cure’s website to get on the guest list for reduced cover, and check out the latest in Alan’s podcast series, “The Kids Want House,” below.

UPDATE: After the break, you can check out the opening set I played before Alan last Thursday (and a great picture too!).

One love,
Anand S.

11/30 Humpday Haus

Halfway there folks – we can do it. Luckily, there’s been an incredible amount of music coming out, and an equally incredible amount of it has been awesome. Check out a few new tracks that we can’t get enough of:

Chris Lake – Sundown (Laidback Luke Remix)

Gregori Klosman – Kameha (Original Mix)

Adrian Lux ft. The Good Natured – Alive (Albin Myers Remix)

After the break, our buddy Alan McNamara is back with the second edition of his “The Kids Want House” podcast series. Alan’s latest is on par with the massive mixes he’s given us before, featuring the Axwell club edit of Michael Calfan’s “Resurrection,” the booming “Munster” from Hardwell and JoeySuki, and the chainsaw madness of R3hab’s remix of Kaskade’s “Eyes.” Alan is also one of the DJ’s we’ll be interviewing soon, so stay tuned for that post!

Also after the break is a mix from Matisse & Sadko, a Russian house duo that has been crushing the scene in the past year with tracks like “Hi Scandinavia!” and “Svenska.” The highlights on this one are the latest John Dahlback, “Grunge,” which we simply can not get enough of, and Hardwell’s rework of Tiesto’s classic “Love Comes Again.” Definitely give this set a listen.

Matisse & Sadko – Hi Scandinavia! (Original Mix)

8/26 Fresh Tunes Friday

Up and down the east coast of the United States, people are bracing for the impact of Hurricane Irene, which makes this weekend perfect for some indoors studio time. But before we get there, here’s your weekly Fresh Tunes Friday dump!

First, a track that’s been floating around for a bit now, mostly on live festival sets, but finally dropped – Fedde le Grand’s “So Much Love.” Check out the music video below, two takes on Skylar Grey’s latest, “Invisible,” from Dirty South and Kaskade, and another massive gem from Example: “Changed the Way You Kiss Me.” Last but certainly not least, the latest from Deadmau5, a ripping jam he calls “Where Are My Keys.”

Finally, a couple awesome mixes for you below. The first is Tristan Garner’s Ibiza 2011 mix, fresh from his stint in the Spanish Summer featuring a great selection of jams. The second is from good friend of the Haus Boys, Alan McNamara from Monaco. This guy keeps consistently pumping out incredible mixes, and this one is no different.

Stay tuned for more updates, and let us know what you’re dancing to!
